Welcome to my monthly blog post where I create a positive affirmation inspired by a card reading for the month of March! Feel free to embrace this intention as your guiding light for the month (or for as long as it speaks to you)!
This month's reading is a powerful mix of fire and earth energy, symbolizing confidence, control, leadership, and the challenge of letting go of limiting beliefs. It tells a story of stepping into personal power while also being mindful of what might be holding you back. And as I was shuffling the cards for this reading, all four jumped out of the deck!
Explore the detailed card reading below and embrace whatever resonates with you, while letting go of anything that doesn't. Remember, powerful messages have a way of finding you when you open your heart and pay attention. 💕

CARds drawn

king of wands
The King of Wands represents leadership, vision, and confidence. This is the energy of someone who knows where they are going and is not afraid to take the necessary action to get there. It suggests that you are in (or stepping into) a phase where your natural leadership skills are needed. This could mean taking charge of a situation, inspiring others, or finally stepping into your purpose with conviction. The King of Wands also reminds you to lead with integrity and passion, using your creativity and charisma to make an impact.
However, the challenge with this card is to ensure that your leadership isn’t overly controlling. Leadership is about inspiring others, not forcing things to happen. If you’ve been feeling stuck or uncertain, this is a reminder that confidence comes from within—you don’t have to have all the answers to move forward. Trust that your inner wisdom will guide you.
Four of Pentacles
Are you holding on too tightly? This card suggests a fear of loss or a need for security that may be preventing growth. It often points to holding onto something—whether it’s money, possessions, control, or even outdated beliefs—out of fear rather than trust. While stability is important, there is a fine line between financial or emotional security and clinging too tightly to what feels “safe.”
Are you resisting change because you’re afraid of losing what you have? Are you keeping yourself small to avoid risk? The Four of Pentacles asks you to explore where you might be gripping too tightly and whether that control is truly serving you. Sometimes, loosening your grip allows for greater flow and abundance.
Queen of Wands
The Queen of Wands is vibrant, bold, and unapologetically herself (she's also my personal hero in the Tarot)! She represents someone who is magnetic, confident, and fully in alignment with their true self. This energy encourages you to step into your power, embrace your individuality, and trust that your natural charisma will attract the right people and opportunities to you.
She complements the King of Wands beautifully—while the King represents structured leadership, the Queen brings warmth, passion, and authenticity. Together, they reinforce the message that your unique energy and confidence are your greatest assets.
The Queen of Wands also reminds you to tap into your intuition. She is deeply connected to her inner wisdom and trusts herself completely. If you’ve been doubting yourself or playing small, this card is a call to own your space, speak your truth, and move forward with unwavering belief in yourself.
The Devil
Here it is. One of the most feared cards in the deck and it showed up in this month's reading. But this card is a great teacher. It serves as the most complex card in the reading because it represents the hidden forces that might be holding you back. The Devil often symbolizes attachments, limiting beliefs, or patterns that keep you stuck. This could be fear, self-doubt, unhealthy habits, toxic relationships, or even the illusion of control.
Paired with the Four of Pentacles, The Devil suggests that clinging too tightly to security or comfort might actually be keeping you trapped. The illusion is that you need certain things to feel safe—but do you? Or is it just a story you’ve been telling yourself?
The Devil is a reminder that you have the power to break free from what you feel is keeping you stuck or trapped.
The Overall Message
This reading is about recognizing your power, stepping into leadership, and trusting yourself—while also being mindful of the ways you might be subconsciously holding yourself back. The King and Queen of Wands encourage confidence, passion, and stepping into your full authenticity. However, the Four of Pentacles and The Devil remind you to not let fear and attachments hinder your growth.
You are being called to let go of what no longer serves you—whether that’s an outdated belief, a toxic pattern, or a need for excessive control. True power comes from trust: trust in yourself, trust in your path, and trust that letting go will create space for something even better.
Now is the time to lead, to be bold, and to believe in your ability to create the life you desire. But in doing so, you must also be willing to release old fears and step into the unknown with courage.
