Spring Awakening with the Tarot: Fresh Starts, Growth and What's Ready to Begin 🌱
Spring has a way of waking something up in us. A desire returns. An idea starts tapping at the window. A part of us begins reaching for light again.

In Episode 75 of Tarot with Bonnie and Peter, we explore spring through the tarot and talk about what it means to begin again, trust what is growing, and stay present with the process.

This was a rich and honest conversation about fresh starts, patience, action, faith, and the space between planting something new and seeing it bloom.

WHY TAROT WORKS SO WELL WITH SPRING ENERGY

Spring brings movement. Something begins. Something shifts. Something asks for our attention.

Tarot gives us a way to explore that energy with more depth. It helps us ask better questions about what is emerging, what needs nurturing, and what choices are shaping the path ahead.

In this episode, we looked at spring as more than a season of fresh starts. We explored it as a season of trust, timing, belief, and aligned action.

TAROT CARDS WE EXPLORE IN THIS EPISODE

We talk about cards that carry strong spring energy, including:
  • The Fool
  • The Aces
  • The Pages
  • The Seven of Pentacles
  • The Nine of Pentacles
  • The Emperor
  • The Hierophant
  • The Lovers
Each of these cards brought something different to the conversation, from first steps and new possibilities to patience, authority, belief systems, and the choices we make when something new is beginning.

One of the richest parts of the episode was our discussion of the Seven of Pentacles, especially how it speaks to effort, timing, reflection, and the faith required when results are still forming.

PETER'S SPRING ZODIAC SPREAD

Peter shared a three card framework connected to the Zodiac signs of spring:
  • The Emperor and our authority
  • The Hierophant and our codes
  • The Lovers and our choices
This opened up a deeper conversation about what supports growth from the inside out.
  • Where do we need to take ownership?
  • What beliefs are guiding us?
  • What choices are asking for our attention?

BONNIE'S SEED, SOIL AND SUN SPREAD

Bonnie introduced a new three card spread called Seed, Soil, and Sun, created for this season of new growth.
This spread helps you explore what is beginning, what will help it take root, and what energy will help it grow.

We pulled cards from the Gaian Tarot (Joanna Powell Colbert) during the episode, and the reading brought forward themes of awakening, passionate action, spontaneity, and standing firm in an authentic path.

WHY THIS EPISODE FELT SO NOURISHING

This conversation stayed with us because it touched something that we feel but often overlook. Fresh starts can feel exciting. They can also bring up uncertainty, impatience, and the desire to know how everything will turn out.

Tarot helps us stay in conversation with the process. It gives us images, symbols, and questions to return to as something new begins to take shape.
